The Path to my Dream Plan

Up to some extend, the idea or the path to my Dream Plan is inspired by some motivation and enlightening seminar I attended and some precious books I read through the past 3 to 4 years. Inspired by Rich Dad and Poor Dad written by Robert Kiyosaki. I have invested around RM20,000 in my own education with seminars and books. There are of course lots of information I learnt that we'll never learn from school. I really apreciate my learning experience and the journey has definitely help me to reshape my mindset, and see things different.

Besides, there is this classic book written in 1910 called "The Science of Getting Rich" by Wallace D. Wattles, which has influenced me a lot. The wisdom of secret of getting rich just reviewed stages by stages when I read this book. I surely and the idea of creativity vs. competition. It suggests wealth creation and create a win-win scenario instead of competing with each other for a pie.

One thing the struck me most is, all this information that are so mind opening and useful and enlightening, how come they are not taught in school? We learnt a lot of knowledge in school, but very little to control our emotion, our spirit, our relationship building with each other.

Some of the information also reveal that our education system are for industrial age where school will manufacture the future employee that the industrial system needed. Since we are in the transition into Information Age and globalization, a lot of us will be wondering how come what we have been taught in school is hardly helpful to enrich our live.

The world is changing fast in Information Age, but not our education system. Perhaps self development in terms of mind power is more important than knowledges in the text book, so that we have the wisdom to make our choice towards overly exploded information around us. My Vision will be a internet Gateway or Portal, to provide beneficial information in terms of self development to enhance our body, mind and spirit. And, at the same time, we filter junk information so that time is not wasted on it.

Getting back to Agriculture age before Industrial Age, we could see that we are community based where we know each other within your neighbourhood. We celebrated ceremony together and living happily together without worrying robberies. With information age around, perhaps some decentralized economy system can be implemented within the centralized economy system. With proper internet application, we can exchange our service with each other without going through the centralized monetary system, and building community bond at the same time.

In Information Age, Internet will be definitely a useful tools for us to get free flow of information and filter out the free flow of Junk information. And, the moral education can be implemented easier and have more influence in a bonded community.

You've got to find what you love

Browsing the Internet today, I found an article on speech given Steve Jobs that I've read a while ago. However, the kind of spirit he presented in the commencement at Standford University will never expire no matter when we read it....

*****************************************************

This is the text of the Commencement address by Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Computer and of Pixar Animation Studios, delivered on June 12, 2005.

I am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world. I never graduated from college. Truth be told, this is the closest I've ever gotten to a college graduation. Today I want to tell you three stories from my life. That's it. No big deal. Just three stories.

The first story is about connecting the dots.

I dropped out of Reed College after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before I really quit. So why did I drop out?

It started before I was born. My biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption. She felt very strongly that I should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife. Except that when I popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl. So my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: "We have an unexpected baby boy; do you want him?" They said: "Of course." My biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school. She refused to sign the final adoption papers. She only relented a few months later when my parents promised that I would someday go to college.

Revisiting My Dream Plan

Sometimes a year ago, I shared my "Dream Plan" with a friend of mine. I got so passion about my "Dream Plan" that I drafted out a "Dream Vision" and "Dream Mission" and some "How to get started" brainstorming idea to kick start my "Dream Plan".

You guess it right, it never get started... and Gods know why. And, through the power of time, the "Dream Plan" fade under memory, and become a seed never planted into the soil to absorb more water and nutrition from the mother soil to grow into a strong tree.

When the friend of mine remind me about my "Dream Plan" and showed me my "Dream Plan", the idea seems so far and yet so close deep inside my heart somewhere. Especially during the moment like now that I feel a little lost on where i'm actually heading. (This happen once a while when things do not turns out the way I have expected.)

After I review my "Dream Plan", it seems to be too perfectionism, but my ask myself, what if it's achievable? A tall and strong tree seems so impossible when we are holding the seed which is so small. And, with the right seed, the seed will grow into tree in just a matter of time with proper care from the mother nature
.

Below, I would like to share with you my "Dream Vision" and "Dream Mission" and hope to get some comments and feedback on suggestions what, where, when, who, why, and how ;)

"Vision is a magical thing: Start with even a small one and hold to it with faith, purpose and gratitude, then stand back as it takes on a life of its own and GROWS beyond your imagination!" - Rebecca Fine

Angels in our life...

Today, listening to the radio, the DJ said, "Whenever we feel helpless, our angels of life will transform into one of the person around us, and provide us a lift." Perhaps, we just need to feel and seek for the moment when we are helpless. The people sit right next to us could be our angels that could provide us a lift.

This remind me of the one of the universal law, that the world is always in balance. When we gain something, we'll loss something. When we loss something, we'll gain back other things to keep our life in balance. Personally, I do feel the existence of law, however, i just unable to fully express it in terms of sentence or words.

Perhaps this is what justified that "The more u give, The more you'll get." Angels are all around us, you might be one of them if u choose to be one. I might be your angel if u needed a lift for the moment. ;)
